Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted two separate operations in retaliation for the ongoing Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, as well as blatant acts of desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied East al-Quds.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s military said on Tuesday afternoon that Yemeni forces had carried out a reprisal strike against Ben Gurion International Airport on outskirts north of the city of Lod, using a homegrown Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.
They also hit a strategic position east of Tel Aviv with a domestically-developed Zulfiqar ballistic missile.
Zulfiqar is reportedly a highly-maneuverable radar-evading surface-to-surface missile, and has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers (1,242 miles).
Saree underlined that the military operations could successfully attain their desired objectives, sent millions of illegal settlers to shelters, and brought air traffic at Ben Gurion airport to a halt.
The senior Yemeni military official denounced the relentless Israeli genocidal campaign in Gaza, the crippling siege against the local population as well as the ongoing policy of starvation as unprecedented crimes in the history of humankind.
“This requires that all freedom-loving people of the Yemeni nation as well as peoples of the world take action to uphold justice, defend humanity, and fulfill their duties toward the oppressed Palestinian people,” Saree noted.
He added that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to conduct their retaliatory operations against the Zionist entity deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories at an escalating pace.
Saree emphasized that Yemeni forces will not abandon their retaliatory operations in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip until the ongoing aggression ends and the tight blockade is completely lifted.
As the genocidal war on Gaza escalated, the Yemenis enforced a strategic blockade on essential maritime routes, with the goal of obstructing the delivery of military supplies to Israel and urging the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared they will not stop their assaults unless Israel ceases its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
