Airlines extend flight cancellations to Israel amid Yemen attacks

Key international airlines are not willing to return to Israel amid continued attacks by the Yemenis.

Major international airlines have extended their flight cancellations to Israel amid continued missile attacks by Yemen.

The Israel Hayom newspaper said in a report on its website on Tuesday that key airlines from around the world would continue to suspend their Israeli routes throughout June and July, citing persistent security risks that exist in the occupied territories.

The report said among the major airlines still suspending their flights to Israel is the Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings, adding the company has announced that its flight suspensions to and from the regime's capital of Tel Aviv will continue until June 22.

It said that British Airways and Ryanair have both decided to continue to suspend flights to the occupied territories until July 31.

The Italian flag carrier ITA Airways will have no flights to Israel through June 15, the report said, adding that Air India will also halt its flights until June 18.

The report said that Air Canada will delay the resumption of its flights to the occupied territories until September.

The cancellations come amid continued missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement on airports in Israel, which the group says is an act of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

Ansarullah has repeatedly said that it would not stop its attacks on the occupied Palestine until Israel completely stops its carnage in Gaza.

Israel’s brutal war on Gaza has killed nearly 55,000 people and displaced almost the entire population of the territory.

The regime has refused to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza in the past weeks, exposing hundreds of thousands of children to the risk of mass starvation.
