Since the onset of Israeli regime’s aggression against Iran on June 13, at least 32 athletes—ranging from children and pre-teens to teenagers and young adults—have been martyred, according to reports.

Zahra Shams, a 35-year-old cyclist and IT graduate from the University of Science and Culture, was another civilian victim of the Israeli missile strikes targeting residential areas in Iran.
Tara Hajimiry, an 8-year-old girl with great talent and dreams of making her country proud on the international gymnastics stage, was tragically killed alongside her parents in a missile attack by the Zionist regime on Patrice Lumumba Street West of Tehran.
She now rests among the martyrs of the Zionist aggression.
In response to the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression, the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Ahmad Donyamali wrote an official letter to the President of the International Olympic Committee and heads of global sports federations.
The letter urged international sports organizations to condemn the actions of the Israeli regime in Iran and demanded the suspension of the Zionist regime from these global sporting bodies.
The unprecedented Israeli acts of aggression prompted Iranian armed forces to immediately initiate retaliatory measures in the form of Operation True Promise III.
Iranian armed forces have carried out 20 phases of True Promise III so far, targeting strategic military and intelligence sites in the occupied territories.
