Gaza ethnic cleansing unabated

Israel’s genocidal war in the Gaza Strip continues to claim the lives of Palestinian civilians amid a deteriorating humanitarian crisis. Israeli warplanes conducted multiple airstrikes on Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis, and bombed homes in Jabalia al-Balad and Deir al-Balah, as well as a tent of displaced Palestinians in Al-Mawasi. The death toll has surged to nearly 100 over the past day. More than 54,000 Palestinians have been killed, and some one hundred and 23,000 wounded since October 7, 2023. Medical sources say the exact number of the fatalities is higher as many victims remain trapped under debris or unreachable due to non-stop bombardments.

EU wants Gaza siege lifted

Almost 600 days into the genocidal war in Gaza, the President of the European Commission urges Israel to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid into the war-torn territory. During a call with Jordan’s King Abdullah the second, Ursula Von Der Leyen condemned as abhorrent Israel’s deadly strikes on civilian infrastructure in Gaza as well as a school. She emphasized there is no justification for such extreme violence against Palestinian civilians. Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, has already called on the Israeli regime to promptly stop its siege and ensure safe, rapid, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid in Gaza. Recently, European nations have threatened to impose sanctions on the Israeli regime and enforce an arms embargo.

Iran-Oman ties

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Muscat on an official visit to the Omani capital. Pezeshkian was officially welcomed by Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. Prior to his departure, the president said the trip is part of Tehran’s strategy to enhance ties with neighboring countries, given the importance of relations with Oman across political, economic, cultural and social sectors. Iran’s economic exchanges with the Arab state have reached nearly &2.3 billion and are increasing day by day. Regional issues, including Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, will be on the agenda. The two-day visit comes at the invitation of Sultan bin Tariq.
