US-Israeli onslaught in Gaza
More Palestinian civilians are slaughtered in Gaza as the Israeli military intensifies its unrelenting attacks against the blockaded territory. In one of the latest strikes, at least five Palestinians were killed after Israeli warplanes bombed areas east of Gaza city. An Israeli airstrike targeting areas near the Nusierat refugee camp in central Gaza killed at least two children. In Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, nearly a dozen Palestinians were killed in multiple air and artillery attacks. The al-Tuffah neighborhood and the al-Maghazei refugee camp were also targets of deadly Israeli attacks. According to Gaza officials, the overall death toll from the regime’s genocide since October 2023 is nearing 53,600, with about 121,700 others injured. Most of the victims are women and children.
Genocide against Palestinians
Divisions growing among Israeli officials over the regime’s ongoing genocidal campaign against innocent civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip. In an escalatory comment, former Israeli Knesset member Moshe Feiglin has called for the killing of Palestinian children and infants in the Gaza Strip, describing them as enemies. Feiglin says victory cannot be achieved unless every child in Gaza is eliminated. The former Knesset member’s discourse advocating for genocide comes as some other former Israeli officials have taken a markedly opposite stance. Former prime minister Ehud Olmert says what Israel is doing in Gaza now, is very close to a war crime. He argues that the ongoing conflict in Gaza is a war without a purpose and without a chance of achieving anything that can save the lives of the captives. The former PM says the continued onslaught on Gaza is "obnoxious and outrageous" from every point of view.
Russia-Ukraine war
Russia Defense Ministry says that the country’s air defenses have intercepted 127 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions. According to the ministry, the largest attacks targeted Bryansk, Oryol, and Kursk, with additional interceptions reported in Moscow, Vladimir, Ryazan, and other areas. Drone strikes from the Ukrainian army on border and internal regions of Russia have become a near-daily occurrence, with Russian air defenses actively countering these attacks. Meanwhile, Russia announced it had struck a Ukrainian military airport and other strategic sites, while Ukraine reported the downing of dozens of Russian drones on Tuesday. The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed ongoing battles on the front lines, with intense fighting in the Pokrovsk region. Ukrainian forces also launched strikes against Russian military targets.
